ATHLETICS DEVELOPMENT IN THE TULA REGION

In the study, authors set a goal to analyze history of development athletics in Tula region XX–XXI centuries. Materials and methods: achievement was ensured by using method theoretical analysis generalization literary documentary sources on identified problem. The scientific novelty study lies fact that main stages are highlighted, scattered information is systematized creating conditions for through implementation state tasks strengthening material technical base, ongoing sports events achievements athletes at national international levels.
 
 Results. Available data suggests originates 1912. most popular disciplines were pole vaulting, running various distances, hammer throwing.
